Okay, people on my f-list who are in Japan -- all 2 of you -- is there anything pressing you need to do at 7 pm today? If not, would you mind terribly watching a bit of a show for me?

Today at 7 on Fuji TV, Setomaru will be on a show called "Nekketsu! Heisei Kyouiku Gakuin." I know this is late notice, but it was just announced on the D-Boys site. I've been spending the past hour or so trying to find anything I can about the show, and from the Wikipedia article and what I've found on Google it looks like an "educational" quiz-type show, where they have a panel of people plus some guests (actors and such) who have to answer questions about various things.

The thing is, I have no idea if Setomaru is going to be on the show as a guest, or as a regular member. If he's just a guest, there's probably no way I'll ever be able to see it, so I would love so very very much if someone could watch just a bit of it and give me some idea as to what happens. ♥ If you can't (or just don't want to) I understand, but I had to try!

For anyone interested in seeing what the show's about, here's a clip from YouTube with some actor I don't know giving wrong answers (poor boy), and here's a page that looks like it has downloads of a couple episodes. I'm (very slowly) downloading one now, so we'll see if it works~

Also, this show isn't at all a drama, so it's still not the show Setomaru taked about in his latest blog entry. But I really do wonder why this was just posted on the day (or the day before, according to the D-Boys site) it's being aired....

That changed in his first year of high school, when he saw the drama Orange Days starring Tsubabuki Satoshi, thought it was cool, and told his mom he wanted to be an actor. She enrolled him in an acting school which he attended for a few months, before taking part in the 2nd D-BOYS Audition in summer of 2005, where he won the Semi-Grand Prix. By spring of the following year he had moved to Tokyo, and was soon cast as Kikumaru Eiji in the Prince of Tennis musicals. In his introduction video on the TeniMyu website, he asked everyone to start calling him "Setomaru," a combination of his name and his character's.
First off, we have The Exciting Tale of Setomaru and his Blog, or Setomaru's Technical Difficulties.

So. Setomaru updated his blog at around 2:30 p.m. Japan time, which meant around 1:30 in the morning here. I checked for an update around 1:40 in the morning, and discovered a giiiiiiant image consisting of an actual picture in the top-left corner, and then the rest was just white.

I giggled immensely at this, because it was obviously a mistake, and I wondered how long it would take him to fix it. So then, I checked my Friends page, and saw that same entry again -- but this time, the image looked different.

Still gigantic, still mostly white -- but more white. The picture in the upper-left was smaller this time.

Soooo, wondering if it was just lj or something, I again refreshed his blog, and discovered that no, the image actually had changed.

Much more giggling ensued, as I imagined Setomaru seeing his blog, going all "O_O" at it, and frantically trying to fix the giant image, only to make the part he wanted people to see smaller, and doing nothing about the huge white space. (What was even better about this, of course, was the real-time aspect of it all. Yay for checking blogs 10 minutes after they're updated :D)

Wanting to see how this would all play out, I put off sleep for a few minutes longer, and then refreshed the page again, to find another change.

But once again, the actual picture had just gotten smaller. There was still a layout-breaking, mostly-white image.

I, of course, was highly entertained by all of this :DDD And then I started to wonder, maybe the first image I saw wasn't even the original one -- maybe in those 10 minutes he had already tried to fix it! Maybe originally the picture took up that whole giant space, and he had just been trying to resize it the whole time and failing rather miserably. (I also figured that if that was the case, he must be using a digital camera, since it would take a rather impressive cellphone to take a picture that big -- and he's put lots of resized cellphone pics on his blog, so he shouldn't have a problem with that, theoretically.)

I waited some more, refreshing every once in awhile to see if anything had changed, but it didn't, and eventually I just had to go to sleep.

So today I checked again, and everything was fixed -- the image was a reasonable size on his blog, and as I'd guessed, was actually as big as the whole image had been before. I giggled some more, and went to my Friends page -- to see that the entry had been reposted there. (With a different time, I might add -- the second one posted by the blog feed has a time of 2 minutes before the first one, because the time on the entry itself changed, for some reason.) I scrolled down to the original post, and saw the picture, in its full gigantic size.

So apparently, after trying unsuccessfully to resize it several times, he reposted it full-size before finally getting it right.

So yeah. Go you, Setomaru, and your amazing picture-posting abilities. ♥ I bet he's hoping that maybe no one noticed it all. :D

Oh, and yes, I did save each and every attempt I saw -- if you would like to see the giant-white-space-tiny-little-picture images, just let me know. :D

And then we have Interesting Things I've Learned About Setomaru in the Past Couple of Weeks.

Fiiiiirst, I got the answer to one of my top Things I Want to Know About Setomaru. :D In a recent blog entry, he talked a friend from Fukuoka visiting him and going to TeniMyu. The exciting thing about this entry is HE SAYS THEY TALKED IN HAKATA-BEN. Well, "a weird mix of Hakata-ben and standard Japanese", because it had "been too long," I assume since he had actually been in Fukuoka. See, Hakata-ben is the dialect of Fukuoka, but based on some things I read a few months ago when I had just started my learning-about-Fukuoka mini-obsession, I wasn't sure if it was spoken in the entire prefecture, so I didn't know if Setomaru spoke it. BUT APPARENTLY HE DOES (or did) AND NOW I WANT TO HEAR IT. BECAUSE DIALECTS = ♥.

And then, thanks to a Tonari interview that vanilla_ichigo found (♥), I got an answer to something else I'd been wondering about ever since I first saw Setomaru's episode of DD-Boys -- whether he actually needs glasses. Apparently he does, as he has bad vision in just his right eye. So, normally he just wears a contact in that eye. I don't know why I find this cute, but I've pretty much just stopped trying to figure that out at this point.

There were also some other interesting things, as I knew there would have to be in an interview about that movie. :D The movie is about an anime/manga "otaku" and his yaoi-obsessed girlfriend, and one of the sets was of Setomaru's character's apartment, and as such there was a lot of manga sitting around in it. Apparently during breaks, Setomaru and his co-star would read this manga together -- THIS INCLUDED BL MANGA. He says "The two of us would read it and learn new things, it was fun." SO APPARENTLY HE WAS READING BL MANGA FOR "RESEARCH PURPOSES." WITH A WOMAN WHO IS 8 YEARS OLDER THAN HIM. I find this more amusing than anything, especially that he would just talk about it so openly. It is interesting, though, how reserved he is about some things, and how so obviously not-reserved he is about others. (Not-reserved? Unreserved? Does that work for people...? *looks it up* Oh, apparently it does. Ah well, I'm not changing it.)

Also in the interview, he mentioned the age difference between himself and his character, and how he had wondered if he would be okay for the role (apparently the director said the age different didn't matter). He says he cut and dyed his hair for the role (which is exactly what I thought), and also says doing that ended up just making him look younger (which is also exactly what I thought, and I'm glad I wasn't the only one!). And at one point he called himself "child-faced by nature." Well, "child-faced" is the translation Jim Breen gives for "童顔", but I don't know how you'd say it in English -- I don't know if "baby-faced" has the right connotations. I think he basically just means he looks young, because he goes on to say that he's had a lot of roles where he wears a uniform, but this is the first time he's had one where he wears a suit. ♥

OH YES. SPEAKING OF SUITS. While looking for Tonari stuff before seeing that interview, I happened upon a blog for the movie, which unfortunately doesn't have much of anything. It mentions some magazines that are going to have Setomaru-related articles in them (I waaaaant them~~), and a few other things. One of those things is a short cellphone video -- a clip of Setomaru in various suits and glasses. It gives instructions on how to view it. But I obviously don't have a Japanese cellphone, and I very badly wanted to see the video clip, so....I went on a search for it :D And spent waaaay longer than I needed to finding it, because it really wasn't that hidden at all. But anyway, it's only about 20 seconds long and it's tiny, but IT'S HILARIOUS, because it's very easy to forget (well, if you don't watch him on Oha, at least) that Setomaru is indeed a dork, just like all the other boys. Here is the address for the streaming video, if you'd like to see it: mms://wms.ponycanyon.co.jp/chaku_movie/SP40_00173_01010701.wmv Just to warn you, there's a girl saying "suits" over and over in the background, it gets rather annoying. And if anyone figures out how to save the video itself, please let me know ♥

And speaking of OhaSuta....they're currently having their Summer Break Special, and Setomaru's part started on the 13th. If you go to the show's blog, you can see what he did for the Special -- HE CLIMBED MT. FUJI. ♥ Isn't that just amazing and complelely awesome? I really wish I could have seen those episodes. I'm so proud of him. ♥

....I think that's it for this section. :D

And last but most certainly not least, we have Why Compatibility Quizzes are the Awesomest Things Ever. ♥

In the book for D-Stage, there's lots of cool stuff, including a "compatibility quiz" for the members. It's a series of questions, and each one has two answers, with each answer sending you off to a different question, and so on and so on, until you get to the end and find out which boy you're supposed to be most compatible with.

I started this thing around....1 or 2 in the morning, I think, knowing that I really shouldn't because figuring out that much kanji was going to take forever and a day, and I needed to sleep. Of course, that did absolutely nothing to convince myself, and so with hibimaosuki's help (♥), I got through it, slowly but surely.

Some of the questions were really hard, and more than once I didn't fully understand a question or answer, which didn't make it any easier. But I did my best, question after question, wondering who I was going to end up choosing....I really had no idea, because these questions weren't obvious at all. I of course knew who I wanted to pick, but considering there were 13 possibilities, I wasn't holding my breath or anything.

Well, until I got to the last question, anyway, then I probably was, I don't remember. And...well, I think I'll just post a transcript, instead of retelling :D

<img src='http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif' alt='[info]' width='17' height='17' style='vertical-align: bottom; I know it's just a silly compatibility thing they made up to give the fangirls something to do, but I DON'T CARE. Out of all the D-Boys, out of all those questions, I picked the right answers to lead me to him. And I didn't even cheat, not the slightest little bit! Gah it was sooooooooo worth staying up all night for.

I wonder how they came up with this, though. Did the boys fill out questionnaires, or something, and they made this up based on that? Or was it based on their "stereotypical" personalities?

WELL WHATEVER. I GOT SETOMARU. ♥

When you get to the boy you picked, it gives you a little paragraph that seems to be more about the picker than the pickee. Here's the one for Setomaru (typed up by the wonderful hibimaosuki ♥):

アネゴ肌のあなたは、いつでもみんなに頼られるしっかり者。面倒見もよく、困っている人を見捨てることができない性格です。ただ、それだけに見えないストレスがたまりがち。疲れたハートに栄養を与えてくれるのは、甘え上手な瀬戸康史くん。彼の笑顔を見るだけで、元気がチャージされるはず！

And, a rough translation:

"As an older-sister-type, you're a level-headed person who is always relied on by everyone. You take care of people, and can't abandon someone in trouble. But, unseen stress tends to build up. To give nourishment to your tired heart, there's the good-at-depending-on-others Seto Kouji-kun. Just from seeing his smiling face, you should get a charge of energy!"

.....Yeeeaaah. I dunno about anyone else, but to me, "good at depending on others" doesn't at first glance seem like something you'd really want to tell people. But I dunno how else to translate that...And really, to me it just seems like a nicer way of saying "good at getting what he wants." Which also sounds bad at first, but....well, it depends, really. :D And I dunno how true of me all that other stuff is, but whatever. I GOT SETOMARU, AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS. ♥

Wow this entry ended up being longer than I anticipated. Buuuut I think that's it. Oh, except for my absolute adoration of the picture in this blog entry. The way his eyes match his hair and the collar of his shirt, that necklace, the lighting -- the only thing I'm not completely crazy about in that picture is his expression, because he could still stand to look a bit happier. :( But even with that, it's an amazing picture. I want to print it out and put it on my wall, as a constant reminder to do whatever I can to get to Japan. Because if that isn't inspiring, I don't know what is. ♥

So, it just occurred to me that I haven't seen any posts on tenimyu for awhile, so, feeling slightly suspicious, I checked my user info, and discovered....

AHAHAHAHA I'M NOT A MEMBER OF tenimyu ANYMORE.

I don't remember the last post I saw from that comm, so I have no idea when it happened. I figured if it was going to happen, it would have happened back during sarahofcroydon's petition, or when I was helping fencer_x have a word with the mod, but nooooo, they waited until that was all over, and kicked me out me sneaky-like, or something.

Unless, of course, I'm having a complete lapse in memory and I left the comm myself, but I really don't think I did. I wasn't planning on leaving on my own, and I still have the comm friended, which wouldn't make any sense if I had left it willingly.

So I can only assume I was no longer wanted there. Teeheehee. Ah well, good riddance.

And the first two don't count. Nacchi, I haven't forgotten about the meme you tagged me for! I'll get to it, I promise ♥

Setomaru said on his blog that he's really nervous about this TeniMyu run, much more than he normally is, and he "wonders why." On the fourth day of performances he was still talking about how nervous he was.

I wonder why, too. And I really wish there was some way I could tell him not to worry. :( He mentioned, for the first time ever, the fanletters and presents he's been getting at the shows (and thanked people for them -- I'd say Tomo has definitely been having an effect on him), and said how much they encouraged him. I want to be encouraging him, too. I hate that I didn't write that letter like I intended to.

Buuuuut anyway. His latest entry amused me, because he was complaining about the heat, which is what I was doing all day. It also has a lovely, lovely picture of him -- I don't think I've ever seen him with his hair looking wet like that, and I must say I rather like it -- even if he is wearing a shirt with dancing beer bottles that looks like it says "HAPPYLAND." And he's underage. I wonder if his mother reads his blog.

As lovely as that picture is, though, the entry before that has my favorite picture he's posted in a long, long time. I don't know exactly why I like it so much....but I do. ♥

Looking at both of those pictures, he seems to be wearing a silver ring on each pinky finger. Maybe he's alternating on different days, or something. I can't tell if it's the same ring or not...

Today I finally got the poster out of my photobook. It was nervewracking. :( I don't know why they don't just make those things perforated, it's like they want to give us a heart attack trying to cut them out. But I succeeded eventually, although I made a barely-noticable cut on Setomaru's hair, and the other side of the poster, the Prince Trio pic, got a little messed up, but I don't care because it'll be facing the wall anyway. My mom's going to laminate that and a couple of magazine posters for me, and then I'll get to finally hang them up~ I've missed having Setomaru on my wall at home.

And finally....I saw his RikkaiMyu 2 photoset. It's probably his best set so far, and I want it So. Very. Badly.

And so concludes this edition of Babbling About Setomaru. ♥

Wow, it's been awhile since I've updated. I have plenty of things I want to post about, like...

-- The first episode of Tomo's new BL drama.

-- D-Boys. That "challenge" going around has made me feel guilty about not starting on that big D-Boys post I've been planning.

-- Setomaru. This is nothing new, obviously, but I do still need to do a picspam post, and since watching (and rewatching) his DVD I've been increasingly feeling like I just really need to write about how wonderful he is. <strike>Again.</strike>

But I've been busy lately with helping my mom clean/organize/rearrange the house, and when I get on lj at night, I'm usually already kind of tired and it takes so long to catch up on everything that I never feel like taking the time to write out a long entry :( I just need to make more of an effort, I guess.

But for now....I'm tired. So I'm just going to watch a bit of Setomaru's DVD and go to sleep. I love that boy, you know. ♥

I was looking up stuff on Setomaru's movie, "Tonari no 801-chan," and decided to see if the director for that had been involved in anything else I knew. I thought to myself, "Haha, it would be funny if he directed, like, Boys Love or something."

So I look the guy up on the Japanese Wikipedia, and...

HE DID DIRECT BOYS LOVE.

...................................

I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Seriously. There were a couple of scenes in Boys Love that I really really liked -- the pool scenes mainly, especially the first one -- but, overall I didn't really like the movie at all. That was more because of the plot than anything, though, and since Tonari is actually based on something else, I hopefully won't have to worry about the storyline too much...

But it does make me wonder what all might be in this movie, considering that it is, after all, about a guy dating a yaoi fangirl. Should be interesting....

Haha, also, I've discovered that the character Setomaru is playing is 28 years old. It was mentioned on the report for the latest Prince Series event, and it also said it on something I was looking at today. The boy is 19 years old, his most well-known role is playing a 14-year-old, people like to say he looks 12, and....now he's playing someone who's 28. It amuses me. :D

I finally upgraded to a Plus account, because I just had to use this icon ♥ ...And I should probably pick some Tuti and Nagayan icons before I fill up the rest of the slots with Setomaru....

So, many many months ago I made a post where I talked about a magazine inverview Setomaru and Tomo had together, and shared the parts I found interesting while skimming through it. Since then, I've been typing up the article, so I can attempt a more complete translation.

Today I felt like working on it some more, but I don't know where my printout of the article is that has the place marked where I stopped, and I didn't feel like rummaging around to look for it, so I decided to try and translate what I already have typed up, and....

LAKSJDFKJSLKJASL WHY DID I NOT LOOK AT THIS BEFORE.

I'm just on, like, the third question, and I read the beginning of Setomaru's answer before, but for some reason didn't look at the rest of it. And it's nothing big, really, except that for me any new piece of information about this boy is huge....

The question is something about their first meeting and whether they were shy, maybe? I'm not entirely sure. But Tomo says "I'm shy," and Setomaru says "I'm shy too. But, after joining D-Boys, I may have gotten a little better." That's the part I read before, but there's more...he goes on to say something like "Before, I was no good around women at all! And I couldn't look at their eyes. And even when I talked to men, I would look down and go 'Aa, ha.....' There was a feeling of not having eye contact."

SKDJLAKSJLKJAS SHY LITTLE SETOMARU NOT BEING ABLE TO TALK TO PEOPLE. The thought of him being all nervous around girls...♥ I'm glad he's gotten over it though, I can't imagine him lasting long as an actor being too shy around girls :D Especially considering the roles he's gotten. It must have been a big adjustment for him, though, having so many girls crazy about him all at once.

...So, yeah. Like I said, it was nothing major :D I just...I just love learning new things about him. ♥

MY PHOTOBOOK AND DVD GOT HERE THIS MORNING, AND SO DID MY CAST PRIX!!!!

I looked at the magazine first, and it's lovely ♥♥♥ shy_violette, seriously, you're wonderful, I can't say that enough ♥♥♥ I have to scan this thing (I know, I say that all the time), it has such nice pictures in it. Pages and pages of Happy Boys stuff, gah, it's wonderful~ And the poster has Zukki, Araki, Tomo, and Wada! Because it turns out there's a D-Boys comic in it :DDD A really amusing one, with Tomo wondering why he joined in the first place, Wada calling him "Yanagi" and him saying "I'm not Yanagi, I'm Yanagishita!", and Araki and Zukki drawing pictures of each other and fighting over whose is better. Oh, boys ♥

So. I haven't watched the DVD yet, but I did stick it in my computer and found out that yes, it will play, and yes, I do have to change the region settings -- and that I can apparently do that 4 times before it sticks. Since I very rarely ever watch American DVDs on my computer, I think I'm okay with that :D

The DVD came with two "postcards," and oh my goodness, one is just GUH HOW CAN ANYONE BE SO PRETTY, and the other is so, so cute ♥

And then...the photobook. I gave in and looked through it without waiting till the house was empty, and thankfully didn't make any of the sad fangirl whimpering noises I was afraid of making. Except on one picture. Which was pretty good considering, I think :D

...What can I say about it? I feel like I want to comment on every single picture, but that probably wouldn't work very well for an lj entry. Overall...he's beautiful. That's really all there is to it. He's absolutely gorgeous, and I don't even use that word. I....I can't even keysmash about it, because that doesn't do it justice :(

*sigh~* ...And I actually do have a favorite page. :D And a favorite from the "omake" pictures in the back. ♥ <strike>Anyone care to guess?</strike>

I don't know when I'll get the chance to watch the DVD, because I would prefer the house to be as empty as possible for that. My family thinks I'm weird enough already, and I'd rather avoid interruptions while I watch ♥

    <lj:music>Oishi -- "Omoi"</lj:music>

As previously stated, my Happy Boys CD got here the other day ♥♥♥ (Apparently delivered by a ninja. My sister and I heard a noise, went to the door, and discovered a box on the porch, with no person or truck anywhere in sight.)

The cover picture is really nice, and on the lyrics page there's a "data file" and a few small pictures from the recording studio, I'll have to scan them :D And it comes with a card (about the size of a playing card), with a cute in-character picture. And the CD itself is really pretty, it's pink and shiny with a silver design. ♥

It turned out there's actually only one song, but two versions of it -- the regular, and the "Unplugged version," which for some reason is only half as long.

....If I wasn't already completely crazy about this boy, this CD would have done it.

I've said it before, but Setomaru can SING. Really, really well. And I love his voice. ♥ The normal version of "Yasashisa" is just.....wonderful. Completely wonderful. I can't even say anything else about it. ♥

But. I like the "Unplugged version" better. It's only a couple verses long, but....aksdfjaskjdaksjd;akj gaaaaah trying to describe how much I like it would be embarrassing. It really has a completely different sound from the other version -- "Unplugged" really fits. It's got kind of an...open-mic-night sound to it. And he sounds so much older in it, so...mature, for lack of a better word. His voice gets really deep, and...I just really, really like it. A lot.

His talk track is really cute, of course. ♥ He thanks everyone for listening, talks about his character and how the recording was (he was nervous ♥), answers some questions about himself....and says "Bye-bye!" at the end, which is just adorable. ♥

As much as I was looking forward to the BAS album before...I really just can't wait now. I really, really want to hear more from him. Also, I hope TakiYuki sounds better when he's not running around a stage, else he's going to seriously get shown up. Heck, that might happen anyway :D I like TakiYuki's singing, but there's no comparison. Setomaru's voice is so...unique, I guess, and strong. Of course, he'll probably be singing a little differently as Eiji, but still.

*sigh~* I love this CD so much. ♥

Oh, right, lyrics. I've started translating bits and pieces, but as usual, there are things I can't figure out....but, I really like what I've been able to figure out of them. ♥ Both the Japanese and the romaji can be found under the cut~

-----

"Yasashisa"

sotto shito ite hoshii nara
utsumuita mama de ii yo
shizuka ni tada sotto
kimi no soba ni itai dake sa

yasashii kotoba ga hoshii nara
kore ijou nai kurai no
yasashi sugiru kotoba o
kimi ni kakete agetai

kimi ga ame ni nureta toki tsukuri warai o shita toki
hontou wa nakitai kurai sabishikattan deshou

umaku waraenai no naraba umaku warawanakute ii sa
egao nante nakuta tte boku wa kimi no soba ni iru yo
nanimo iitakunai naraba nanimo iwanakute ii sa
kotoba nante nakuta tte boku wa kimi no soba ni iru yo

enryo sezu ni misete okure yo
kimi no yowai tokoro o
kimi no mune no sono oku ni
kimi ga kakushita sono kotoba o

tatoe sore ga bakagetete mo
tatoe soko ni kotae ga nakute mo
kimi no hontou no kimochi ni
boku wa tadori tsukitain da

kimi ga ame ni nureta toki tsukuri warai o shita toki
hontou wa nakitai kurai sabishikattan daro
kimi wa sore o kakushita kara kimi wa kimi o komaraseta
hontou wa nakitai kurai kurushikattan deshou

umaku waraenai no naraba umaku warawanakute ii sa
egao nante nakuta tte boku wa kimi no soba ni iru yo
nanimo iitakunai naraba nanimo iwanakute ii sa
kotoba nante nakuta tte boku wa kimi no soba ni iru yo

-----

To me, it sounds like a love song. ...Not an especially happy love song, but still. This is amusing to me, though, since Kyouichi doesn't have a girl at all in the series, unless one shows up at the very end or something. Maybe the song is about a "potential" girl? One he hopes to have? I dunno. It's a nice song, though, and is basically all about how nice Kyouichi is. He's such an awesome character, really. ♥ And it makes me all kinds of happy that on the talk track Setomaru was once again saying how similiar they are :D

So, the preview function is finally working, so I think it'll let me post this one~ And of course, not being able to post long entries has just made me think of lots of things to post long entries about, so...I'll probably be spamming a bit over the next couple days, I apologize in advance ♥

Still no DVD and photobooks, but my Amazon stuff shipped today, so I should be getting that very soon~ I've heard KenKen's Happy Boys CD now, and assuming they're all the same....there'll be two songs, and a talk track :DDDDDD Gah, I can't wait to hear them~~

Yesterday, on my ex-roommate's recommendation, I downloaded and watched the "Batsu Game" part of Zukki's DVD (and now I have no room left on my computer). She had said it was hilarious, and I guess it was pretty funny, but I was just watching Setomaru the whole time anyway. Gah, it's so nice seeing him around friends, just being comfortable and relaxed and himself. I think the best part of the whole thing, though, was hearing him laugh. ♥ Unless I'm forgetting something, in everything else I've seen he's never done more than chuckle a bit. This, though, was a real laugh -- deep, kind of silly, very boyish. He really should laugh more often. ♥

Oh, could I ask for a favor? If anyone ever happens to see this for sale anywhere that ships to the U.S., could you please please please let me know? I can't find it on Amazon or HMV, and...it has 20 pages of Happy Boys stuff in it. Plus, the cover. And...yes. Thank you in advance~ ♥♥♥

I tried posting this last night, again earlier today...we'll see if lj has decided to stop hating me.

So. Um. I literally squeaked when I saw this. Oh, Tuti. ♥ Anyone know why he's in Okinawa?

Went looking through Taka-san's blog yesterday -- er, Watanabe Kouji, the current Taka-san. I was looking for Kei-chan's blog (Minami Keisuke, current Tezuka...I've gotten into the bad habit of calling him by his nickname), and I found the address for Taka-san's, and upon remembering that he and Setomaru hang out during rehearsals, I went on a vain search for pictures. (Seriously, he is in no one's blog except his own and the other D-Boys'. And possibly one picture in Doori's, although you can't see his face. It looks like his phone, though.) But, Taka-san (...that's what the other actors call him, by the way; I've never seen one of them refer to him by his actual name) did mention Setomaru's birthday! And the "surprise" they had for him, which apparently happened during the sound-check. I think he said he was planning on giving the details about it after the show was over, but he hasn't yet. I'll have to check back and see if he does, 'cause I'm kind of dying to know what happened.

Also, though, he had a post from last winter talking about how he and some other guys went to see Bambino. One of the other guys was Shinpei -- and they went out to eat with some of the cast, including MoriEiji! Taka-san made a comment about the 1st and 3rd-gen Momos getting to talk, and apparently MoriEiji gave some advice :D There was a picture, too.

Yesterday I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3~ I liked it, but my favorite moment is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge spoiler, so I won't say it here. If anyone's seen it (or just doesn't care) and is curious, I'm more than willing to talk about the movie, so just poke me on IM :D

I ordered some stuff from Amazon Japan a few days ago -- Setomaru's Happy Boys single, and a couple magazines. The single was released on the 23rd, but the stuff hasn't shipped yet, and if it's because of those magazines I'm going to be sad. I want to hear the song. :( It's called "Yasashisa." ♥

My tenifriends assignment is due in less than a week, and I haven't even started on it. This is partly because that's just how I am, but mostly because I ABSOLUTELY HATE MY ASSIGNMENT. I barely know the characters in any of the options I have to work with. It's going to be a crap fic, and I just hate the idea of sitting down to write crap. The person I'm writing for deserves to have something good, and I just can't do that with these characters. :(

In other news....I applied for my passport today. :D They said it should get here around the end of July, which would be awesome~

I learn something new, and I just love him that much more. ♥

Because this fandom is wonderful and people love to share, I was able to get ahold of a 4-question interview for Happy Boys~ And it's lovely. The last question, especially. It's something so little, so insignificant, really....but it makes me giddy. ♥

- What is the "point" you want to show?

- A well-practiced reception. [I think he means where he greets the girls at the door?] I was taught by a pro, so I think it's perfect!!

-How are you and your character linked?

- Seto Kouji = Segawa Kyouichi, almost. [The "se" in Seto and the "se" in Segawa are the same kanji. Plus, they have the same initials....Dork. ♥] Anyway, we're similar. [And then he says "素で役を演じてます。", which I'm not sure about.]

- If your family or girlfriend came to the butler cafe, what would you do?

- I would be surprised, but I think I'd be able to treat them as customers. But...I'd still be embarrassed~

- If you worked at a butler cafe, what would you want your name to be?

- My real name is good! Because I love my name!

sldkfalskdfasdkfj;alkj SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY. I love his name, because "Seto" is cute and "Kouji" just sounds nice (I like "K" sounds, especially for guys' names....) and, y'know, it's his name, but knowing that he loves it too? asdlfkjaslk SO MUCH BETTER. GAAAAAAAH.

Plus, the part about what he'd do if his family or girlfriend showed up? So adorable. ♥♥♥ I don't think I ever noticed the similarities in his and Kyouichi's names, 'cause it sounds like something I would have mentioned if I had, so that amused me ♥ And I love that he says he and Kyouichi are similiar, because I LOVELOVELOVE Kyouichi, as I realized when I read the 3rd chapter of the manga the other night :D He would so totally be my favorite character regardless. ♥

Oh, also, I don't think I knew they learned stuff from professionals? The idea of the 5 of them hanging around professional butler cafe waiters is just...hilarious and adorable, all at once ♥

Gah. This boy. ♥

See, akahannah, what'd I tell you?
This is actually delayed spazzing, because I've been on the phone for quite awhile filling in my ex-roommate on everything that happened today -- er, yesterday, which was, to put it mildly, a Good Day. Why exactly was it a Good Day? Well...

~ Setomaru's birthday post

~ Best Actors Series CD announced for Setomaru and TakiYuki

~ NAGAYAN AND TUTI ARE GOING TO BE IN A PLAY TOGETHER

~ And, oh, what's this? SETOMARU IS STARRING IN A MOVIE.

There's information about it here and here, but if you're lazy I'll go ahead and reiterate:

It's a straight-to-DVD movie, and it'll be released September 5. It's called "Tonari no 801-chan," and there's a manga version, which is based on a real-life blog written by a guy about his life with his girlfriend. Why is this interesting? Well, you see....his girlfriend is a yaoi fangirl :DDDDD See, the title is a pun -- "801" can be pronounced "yaoi."

So, yes. Setomaru is playing a character (who wears glasses! ♥) whose girlfriend is a yaoi freak. This should be, to put it very, very mildly, interesting. :D I mean -- gah. That means, for one, he's going to have to learn about yaoi. Also, all the interviews they'll have for the movie? HE'S GOING TO BE ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT YAOI. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIS ANSWERS.

Also, seeing the picture on the cover, I think this is why he cut his hair, so I feel better about that now :D (....What, I liked his longer hair :P)

Also also...I have a feeling he's going to get even more popular because of this movie. I mean, look at the entire fanbase he gets from TeniMyu and D-Boys -- THEY'RE PRETTY MUCH ALL YAOI FREAKS. And now they're going to see him a movie where he's dating a fangirl?

And speaking of the girl....she's Hirosawa Sou, who was apparently in Waterboys 2? This is her website, if I'm not mistaken. She's, um.......old. Comparatively, I mean. She's older than me. She's 26. That's 7 years older than Setomaru. It's amusing, and kind of weird....and somehow makes me feel better about being 2 and a half years older than him :D

And speaking of TeniMyu...the actual guy talks about the DVD on his blog, and says who's playing the main characters -- aka, himself and his girlfriend. There's some "dialogue" in the entry between him and his girlfriend ("801-chan"), and she mentions TeniMyu, and something about dying. I don't get the exact meaning, but I think it's hilarious that she knows what TeniMyu is :DDDD

So, yeah. I'm wondering if they're going to have an event for this sometime around the release, and if they are....well, it's being released right after Tuti and Nagayan's play is over, and....with both of those things as an incentive, I'd seriously consider trying to be there for them. I'll have to think about it some more -- and find a job, and quick -- and hope they announce an event soon if they're having one, but...it's a possibility. And really, the trip would be worth it for the play on its own, so...We'll see how it goes :D
